About EmpowerEd SPED

EmpowerEd SPED is built for independent special education contractors managing student service-based work. Our app supports your business with logging services, generating district-ready invoices, and seeing what you’ve earned without piecing together spreadsheets, forms, and disconnected tools.

Independent contracting offers flexibility and autonomy, but it also requires providers to manage the business side of their work with consistency. EmpowerEd SPED exists to make that side of the work easier to run.

Why We Built EmpowerEd SPED

Many independent providers enter contracting to focus more on students and build a business that works for them. What often gets overlooked is how much paperwork work sits behind that decision.

Service logs, invoicing, and revenue at a glance are often managed across disconnected systems, manual processes, or inconsistent routines. That creates unnecessary burden and makes it harder to understand how the business is actually performing. It can make it difficult to focus on students, teaching, and having work+life balance.

EmpowerEd SPED was built to bring structure and clarity to those workflows.

Built by operators who understand the work behind the work.

EmpowerEd SPED was shaped by direct experience in special education operations, provider support, workflow design, and financial systems. We understand how quickly small administrative gaps can turn into billing issues, missed visibility, and unnecessary stress for providers managing their own contracting business.

Our goal is to build systems that support the reality of independent SPED work, not force providers into generic workflows that do not fit how services are delivered.
